Kim McNally (AKA: Rowann) is Goddess Within's founder and owner-operator. She is a light-worker and has been an eclectic practitioner of the magickal arts for over thirty-five years. Since there wasn't a market for "crafty-magickal" tools when she began walking her path, she has taken great pride in having crafted many of her own magickal tools. She is a “retired” High Priestess and Elder of a coven based in North Carolina. She calls herself a “sand-witch” (as opposed to “sea-witch” as she suffers from hydrophobia) and practices several forms of divination getting her start when she was always being chosen to be the gypsy fortune-teller (imagine that!) with a deck of standard playing cards at the impromptu circuses the neighborhood kids used to put on. As one who believes in working through dreams and since she's musically inclined (but very dyslexic), she literally taught herself to play the piano,
the guitar and the drums at various points in her life as a child. Later in her early twenties, she used the same dream-learning techniques to begin playing the electric bass, following up with lessons. She studied vocal music in school and is constantly humming of singing something especially while cooking, an activity she loves.
Most of the films in her video library have to do with magick and/or death...this was of course unintentional but then, she is a Scorpio with an Aries rising. That having been said, she is certainly not without a sense of humor; she's been known to prowl about during Samhain wearing a purple satin hoop skirt and blouse, complete with a sparkly purple conical hat and purple and black raffia for hair carrying around a stuffed black cat which yowls when it's ear is squeezed just right. She lives in Pennsylvania with her high-school sweetheart-husband on four acres with two horses, six dogs, six in-door kitties, and a colony of barn cats.
Gretchen Knight (AKA: Ravenn) is Rowann’s younger sister and quite the Goth. She is also Goddess Within's chief Jeweler and designer. Ravenn is an avid reader/book collector. Most of her collection consists of horror, sci-fi, fantasy, vampire, and “witchy” books. She is also a film buff; and the weirder the better. Some of her most favorite movies are horror flicks; psychological as well as blood-splatter-gore-fests. Most of the jewelry featured in our catalog was designed and hand-crafted by Ravenn. She has been designing jewelry ever since she can remember. It started with small modifications to pieces she bought and grew from there. She also dabbles a bit in divination: tarot, pendulum, and runes. She is currently studying/learning all she can about the major chakras. Ravenn is an Aquarius with a Gemini rising...which drives her sister absolutely bonkers. ;) Ravenn currently resides in Pennsylvania with a roommate, two kitties and a crazy Jack Russel dog.
Goddess Within is an active fifteen-plus-year long dream that is finally coming to fruition for Rowann and is truly a labor of love (and often times distress). It's her dream to eventually have a store front somewhere in her town.
